How to keep them yours. كيف تبقى القطعة لك.

Slow fashion asks for slow care. Everything below takes seconds and buys you years. الموضة البطيئة تطلب عناية بطيئة. كل ما تحت يأخذ ثوانٍ، ويعطي القطعة سنوات.

01 — The card ٠١ — البطاقة

Five symbols. That's the whole thing. خمسة رموز. هذا كل شيء.

You most likely got here from the tag sewn into your piece, or the card in the box. These are the same five symbols printed on it — with the reasoning the card had no room for. غالباً وصلت إلى هنا من البطاقة المخيطة داخل قطعتك، أو من الكرت الموجود في الصندوق. هذه هي الرموز الخمسة نفسها المطبوعة عليه — مع الشرح الذي لم يتّسع له الكرت.

  • Turn inside out Turn inside out اقلبها على الوجه الداخلي Before it goes anywhere near the machine. قبل أن تقترب من الغسالة.
  • Wash cold · 30°C Wash cold · 30°C غسيل بارد على ٣٠ درجة Gentle cycle, like colours only. دورة خفيفة، ومع ألوان مشابهة فقط.
  • Do not bleach Do not bleach بدون مبيّض No fabric softener either. Both eat the fibres. ولا منعّم أقمشة. كلاهما يأكل الألياف.
  • No high-heat dry No high-heat dry بدون تنشيف حراري Air dry in the shade. Heat is what shrinks. انشرها بالظل. الحرارة هي التي تُقلّص.
  • Iron low · avoid print Iron low · avoid print كي على حرارة منخفضة، وتجنّب الطباعة On the reverse, never over a print or a seam. من الجهة الداخلية، ولا تكوِ فوق طباعة أو خياطة.
02 — Your fabric ٠٢ — قماشك

Two fabrics. They want different things. قماشان. لكلٍّ منهما ما يحتاجه.

Drop 01 is built from two materials. Find the one you own — the difference between them is the difference between a piece that lasts and one that does not. الدفعة الأولى مبنية من مادتين. اعرف أيّهما تملك — الفرق بينهما هو الفرق بين قطعة تدوم وأخرى لا تدوم.

Cotton Poly Spandex TC قطن بوليستر سباندكس TC

250 GSM · Oysho ٢٥٠ غرام/م²، أويشو

A cotton-rich blend with enough polyester to hold structure and enough spandex to recover its shape. The cotton is what makes it soft. The polyester is what makes it heat-sensitive — high heat sets creases into the blend and shrinks it, and neither one undoes. خليط غنيّ بالقطن، مع بوليستر يكفي ليحافظ على القوام، وسباندكس يكفي ليستعيد شكله. القطن هو ما يجعله ناعماً، والبوليستر هو ما يجعله حسّاساً للحرارة — الحرارة العالية تثبّت التجاعيد داخل الخليط وتُقلّصه، ولا رجعة في أيٍّ منهما.

  • Cold machine wash at 30°C, inside out
  • Wash with like colours — black with black, beige with beige
  • Air dry flat or on a hanger, out of direct sun
  • Iron low, on the reverse, if it needs it

  • اغسلها مع ألوان مشابهة — الأسود مع الأسود، والبيج مع البيج

Never لا تفعل أبداً
  • Tumble dryer — this is the one that shrinks it
  • Fabric softener — it coats the fibres and dulls the hand-feel
  • Bleach, on any colour, including white
  • Drying in direct midday sun — it fades black and warms beige
  • النشّافة — هذه تحديداً هي التي تُقلّصها
  • منعّم الأقمشة — يغلّف الألياف ويُفقدها ملمسها
  • المبيّض، مع أي لون، حتى الأبيض

Parachute باراشوت

180 GSM · 100% polyester + spandex · water-resistant ١٨٠ غرام/م²، ١٠٠٪ بوليستر وسباندكس، مقاوم للماء

The water resistance lives in the tightness of the weave and the finish on it, not in a coating you can see. Heat and softener are what strip it. Treated properly this is the most durable thing in the drop, and it dries faster than anything else you own. مقاومة الماء موجودة في إحكام النسيج وفي التشطيب فوقه، لا في طبقة تراها بعينك. الحرارة ومنعّم الأقمشة هما ما يزيلانها. مع المعاملة الصحيحة، هذا أمتن ما في الدفعة، ويجفّ أسرع من أي شيء آخر تملكه.

  • Close every zip and fastening before it goes in
  • Cold machine wash, gentle cycle
  • Hang dry — it needs no help and very little time
  • If it must be pressed: low heat, through a cloth

  • انشره ليجفّ — لا يحتاج مساعدة ولا وقتاً طويلاً

  • Fabric softener — it clogs the weave and the water resistance goes with it
  • Tumble dryer, on any setting
  • A hot iron straight onto the fabric — it will gloss and melt
  • Bleach or solvent stain removers
  • منعّم الأقمشة — يسدّ النسيج وتذهب معه مقاومة الماء
  • النشّافة، على أي درجة
  • مكواة ساخنة مباشرة على القماش — سيلمع ويذوب
  • المبيّض أو مزيلات البقع المذيبة

01 ٠١

Wash cold غسيل بارد

30°C max. Inside out. Like colours only. No bleach, no fabric softener — both break down the fibres KAF uses. Cold water also holds dye in the cloth instead of pulling it into the drum. ٣٠ درجة كحدّ أقصى. مقلوبة. مع ألوان مشابهة فقط. بدون مبيّض وبدون منعّم أقمشة — كلاهما يكسر الألياف التي تستخدمها KAF. والماء البارد يُبقي الصبغة في القماش بدل أن يسحبها إلى الغسالة.

02 ٠٢

Air dry نشر بالهواء

Skip the dryer. Lay flat or hang in shade. Heat is what shrinks and twists weight out of garments — a single hot cycle can cost a piece more than a year of wear. تجاوز النشّافة. انشرها مسطّحة أو علّقها بالظل. الحرارة هي التي تُقلّص وتسحب الوزن من القطعة — دورة ساخنة واحدة قد تكلّف القطعة أكثر من سنة استعمال.

03 ٠٣

Iron low كي منخفض

Low heat, on the reverse. Steam if you can. Never iron over prints or seams — the print will lift and the seam will flatten into a shine that does not come back. حرارة منخفضة، ومن الجهة الداخلية. استخدم البخار إن أمكن. لا تكوِ فوق الطباعة أو الخياطة — الطباعة سترتفع، والخياطة ستتسطّح وتترك لمعة لا تعود.

Store folded التخزين مطوياً

Heavier knits stretch on hangers — the weight pulls the shoulder out over months. Fold and stack the tees. Hangers are for jackets, shirts, and the parachute bottoms. التريكو الثقيل يتمدّد على العلّاقة، فالوزن يسحب الكتف مع الشهور. اطوِ التيشيرتات وكدّسها. العلّاقات للجاكيتات والقمصان وبنطلونات الباراشوت.

Treat stains fast عالج البقعة بسرعة

Cold water, blot — never rub. Rubbing pushes the stain into the weave instead of lifting it out. The longer a stain sits, the harder it fights back. Dilute detergent in water first; never put it neat on the spot. ماء بارد، وتنشيف بالضغط — لا تفرك أبداً. الفرك يدفع البقعة داخل النسيج بدل أن يخرجها. وكلما جلست البقعة أطول، صعُب إخراجها. خفّف المنظّف بالماء أولاً، ولا تضعه صافياً على البقعة.

Repair, don't replace أصلح، لا تستبدل

If a seam goes, send a photo to hello@wearekaf.com or message us on WhatsApp. We'll mend it within reason — that's the deal with slow fashion, and it is cheaper for everyone than a new piece. إذا انفتحت خياطة، أرسل صورة على hello@wearekaf.com أو راسلنا على واتساب. سنصلحها ضمن المعقول — هذا هو اتفاقنا في الموضة البطيئة، وهو أرخص للجميع من قطعة جديدة.

04 — Why it's built this way ٠٤ — لماذا صُنعت هكذا

We could have made it cheaper. كان بإمكاننا أن نصنعها أرخص.

A lighter fabric. A looser stitch. A piece that photographs well on the first day and gives up by the third wash. That is the ordinary way to do this, and it works — for the people selling it.

KAF is built the other way round. The weight is there so the shape holds. The seams are closed so they do not open. The fabric was chosen for how it behaves after a year, not for how it looks in a photo taken on day one. That is also why there are only a few pieces, and why they arrive slowly.

Which puts the last part in your hands. Something made to last still has to be treated like it. Cold water, shade, a little patience. That is the whole ask, and it is small next to the years you get back.

قماش أخف. خياطة أوسع. قطعة تبدو مضبوطة في اليوم الأول وتستسلم عند الغسلة الثالثة. هذه هي الطريقة المعتادة، وهي تنجح — لمن يبيعها.

KAF مبنيّة بالعكس. الوزن موجود ليحافظ على الشكل. الخياطات مُقفلة كي لا تنفتح. والقماش اختير بناءً على سلوكه بعد سنة، لا على شكله في صورة أُخذت في اليوم الأول. ولهذا أيضاً عدد القطع قليل، ولهذا تصل ببطء.

وهذا يضع الجزء الأخير بين يديك. ما صُنع ليدوم يحتاج أن يُعامَل على هذا الأساس. ماء بارد، وظل، وقليل من الصبر. هذا كل المطلوب، وهو قليل مقابل السنوات التي تعود إليك.
